The VFW H3 is a experimental helicopter to test some
new propulsion concepts. As a mixture an autogiro and
a helicopter, the main rotor is driven only for
start and hovering. Inflight it is driven by the air-
stream like an autogiro. Horizontal propulsion is
done by two small impeller drives.
