1953 - Sud-Ouest SO 1221 Djinn, Light Utility Helicopter

 

The Rotor of the Djinn was propelled by compressed air led through nozzles at their end. The air was compressed by a compressor driven by a gas turbine. This type of propulsion was not successfull due to its low efficiency.

1953 - Sud-Ouest SO 9000 Trident, Hybrid propulsion experimental aircraft

 

 

 

 

1955 - Sud-Ouest SE 3130 B Alouette II, Light Helicopter

 

Due to its jet engine, the Alouette II had a very high performance for its days. A lot of them were in duty up to the 90ies. They were in use at army avia- tion, police and other official organizations.
