The Draken was one of the most capable fighter planes of its days. It had a double delta wing design. The Draken was in use up to the 90ies. A new version has been ordered by Austria in 1996 (!).

The Viggen was very agile due to its duck wing design, which was revolutionary at it's time. Up to the 90ies it is known as a very capable fighter bomber aircraft.

1977 - Saab MFI 17, Training and light attack aircraft

 

 

 

 

1978 - Saab 108, Light Transport

 

 

 

 

1988 - Saab JAS 39 Gripen, fighter bomber / tactical recconnaissance

 

 

 

 

1989 - Saab 340 B / AEW&C, Airliner, Executive Transport, Early Warning&Surveillance
