1934 - Messerschmitt Me 110 G Zerstörer, Heavy Fighter-Bomber

1934 the RLM asked for a heavy fighter with great range and some defensive armament. In practice, the Bf 110 was not agile enough to withstand single- engine fighters. It was used in various roles like fighter-bomber, ground support and nightfighting.

1938 - Messerschmitt Me 109 E-1, Fighter

The Me 109 E was the standard fighter of the Luft- waffe at the beginning of the II WW. At that time it was the most advanced fighter, but soon there was competition like the Spitfire, so the 109 was further developed and other types like the FW 190 arose.

1944 - Messerschmitt Me 163 Komet, Short range interceptor

The Komet, known as "Kraftei" (power egg), was build as a rocket driven short range interceptor against allied bombers. It was the first aircraft that was build in an industrial scale, that was driven by a rocket engine and the first one to reach the 1000km/h mark (540kts).

1944 - Messerschmitt Me 262 A1 Schwalbe, Fighter

The Me262 was the first jet fighter to be build in industrial scale. When it saw action in 1944 it was successful. It's high speed and firepower made it the ideal fighter aircraft. It was used in various roles as fighter, fighter/bomber and nightfighter, equipped with radar.
