McDonnell Douglas F 4 C Phantom II,
Fighter bomber

The Phantom was designed for the US Marines. It was
much more heavier and larger than any other fighter
bomber before. The design was so successful that
even the US Air Force and many other forces brought
the Phantom into service up to the 90ies.

The Nightingale is a converted DC9, a typical short range airliner of
the 60ies. The aircraft has got medical capabilities so it can be used
as a mobile hospital in crisis areas as well as a transport for up to 40
patients either seated or on litters.
