1942 - Lockheed C-60 A Lodestar, Transport

 

The Lodestar was based on the Lockheed model 18. During the 2nd world war it was used to transport cargo and personnel. From 1940 on, the military versions C-56, C-57, C-59 and C-60 were produced, whereof the C-60A was the most successful type with 325 built. After the war, many were sold to private hands for use as cargo or executive transports.

1944 - Lockheed P 80 A Shooting Star, Fighter bomber and tactical reconnaissance aircraft

 

 

 

 

1945 - Lockheed P 2 V Neptune, Long Range Sea Patrol and ASW-Aircraft

 

Between 1945 and 1962 some 1195 were manufactured. They were in use in the USA, Brazil, Portugal, France, Japan, Argentina, Australia and the Netherlands.  

 

 

1948 - Lockheed C 121 G Super Constellation, Long range transport and airliner

 

The C121 is the military variant of the L 1949, one of the last long range airliners fitted with piston engines.  

 

 

1949 - Lockheed 580, Trainer

 

 

 

 

1953 - Lockheed EC 121 D Constellation, Radar Early Warning Aircraft

 

 

 

 

1954 - Lockheed C 130 Hercules, Transport

 

The C 130 is the standard transport aircraft of the last quarter of the 20iest century. It is in other than transport roles in use, for example as long range patrol, reconnaissance, gunship and electronic warfare.

1958 - Lockheed F 94 A Starfire, Fighter Interceptor

1962 - Lockheed C 140 Jetstar, Corporate jet

 

 

 

 

1963 - Lockheed F 104 G Starfighter, Fighter / Bomber

 

Designed by Kelly Johnson as a light and fast inter- ceptor, the Starfighter was developed to be a all weather fighter bomber. It was not easy to handle and so, a very high number of crashes occured.

1969 - Lockheed C 5 Galaxy, Heavy Transport Aircraft

 

 

 

 

1972 - Lockheed C 141 Starlifter, Heavy Transport

 

 

 

 

1972 - Lockheed S 3 Viking, Carrier based sub hunter

 

 

 

 

1981 - Lockheed F 117 A Night Hawk, Stealth fighter bomber

 

 

 

 

1988 - Lockheed P 3 Sentinel, AWACS

 

 

 

 

1996 - Lockheed C 130 J Hercules II, Transport

 

 

 

 

1997 - Lockheed / Boeing F 22 Raptor, Fighter Bomber

 

 

 

 

2000 - Lockheed Martin X 35 JSF Joint Strike Fighter, Fighter Bomber
