Fokker F I,
Passenger aircraft

After the war had ended in 1918, Fokker started to design civil aircraft
for transport of passengers and freight. His first design was derived
from the combat aircraft Fokker D VIII. The hull was enlarged, so 2
additional cockpits could be installed to accomodate 2 passengers.
This aircraft has been designed by Reinhold Platz.

The Fokker C II was designed as a flying taxi. She was derived from
the C I which itself was basically an enlarged D VII, the famous
fighter aicraft from the 1. world war.

This was the first dedicated Passenger aircraft design. It was not
derived from wartime aircraft. With these "flying limousines" airlines
througout europe have been established. It was designed by
Reinhold Platz.

The F IV is basically an enlarged F III, designed by Reinhold Platz.
With aicraft of this type, a coast-to-coast airline was established in the
USA.

The F V was a very special aircraft: She could be flown as a
monoplane or as a biplane. The lower wings could be dismounted.
So the most of the F V's have been flown with only the upper wings.
