Boulton Paul Defiant Mk I
Fighter, United Kingdom, 1937

[Technical Data] [Expo/Images] - [ Boulton Paul] [ Fighter 1919-1938]

Description:

The Defiant followed a doctrine which meant that
fighter should battle their targets "in line" with
their guns mounted in a battery, like bombers had.
To make sure the pilot doesn't start a war on his own
the Defiant had no frontal guns. This concept was no
success.
